In a significant expansion of its European ETF footprint, Schroders today welcomed the official listing of its first two active UCITS ETFs on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The Schroder Global Equity Active UCITS ETF and the Schroder Global Investment Grade Corporate Bond Active UCITS ETF begin trading in London following their initial debut on XETRA last Friday, 26 September 2025 .

The listings mark a strategic milestone for the 220-year-old British asset manager, which is now bringing its long-standing active management expertise into the fast-growing European active ETF segment. Both funds are already live on Deutsche Börse and will soon be available on SIX Swiss Exchange and Borsa Italiana, offering multiple currency share classes to meet pan-European investor demand .

The equity ETF, managed by Lukas Kamblevicius and Schroders’ Quantitative Equity Products (QEP) team, replicates the firm’s $24 billion QEP Global Core strategy. With a 25-year track record, the strategy has outperformed the MSCI World Index in 20 of the past 25 calendar years, delivering an annualised relative return of 1.0% (before fees) with lower relative risk .

Meanwhile, the corporate bond ETF provides retail and institutional investors access to a $3 billion bottom-up investment-grade credit strategy—previously only available via mandates. The fixed income team combines fundamental credit research with systematic analysis to target outperformance versus the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Corporate Index (USD hedged), having generated 1.4% annualised excess returns over the past six years .

“Schroders is bringing more than 220 years of active investment expertise into European active ETFs for the first time,” said Johanna Kyrklund, Group Chief Investment Officer. “These launches will ensure our clients can benefit from the flexibility and accessibility of an ETF wrapper, as well as the potential superior returns delivered by our active investing edge” .

The London listings—under tickers SAGE (USD) for the equity ETF and SGIG (USD) for the bond ETF—follow strong initial uptake on XETRA and signal Schroders’ commitment to meeting evolving client expectations for transparent, cost-efficient access to actively managed strategies .

With currency-hedged share classes for the bond ETF expected in Q4 2025, Schroders is positioning itself as a serious contender in Europe’s increasingly competitive active ETF landscape—offering a compelling blend of heritage, performance, and modern distribution.
