BlackRock : New equity ETF from iShares on Xetra: access to metal producers for the transition to renewable energy sources

Since Friday, a new exchange-traded fund issued by iShares has been tradable on Xetra and via the trading venue Börse Frankfurt.
The iShares Essential Metals Producers UCITS ETF invests in companies involved in the production of metals that are considered essential to the technologies of the energy transition. The focus is on the exploration and processing of cobalt, copper, lithium, nickel, palladium, platinum, and rare earths.
The benchmark index, the S&P Global Essential Metals Producers Index, currently comprises 87 companies, 56 per cent of which are based in Australia, Canada, or the USA.
