Assets have risen by 17.9 per cent since the start of the year, climbing from $3,220 billion at the end of 2025 to $3,800 billion at the end of July. This figure exceeds the previous record of $3,770 billion set in May 2026. Net inflows since the start of the year represent the highest figure ever recorded. The second-highest figure was $207.28 billion in 2025, followed by $127.19 billion in 2024. July marks the 46th consecutive month of positive net inflows. Total assets amounted to $3,800 billion, distributed amongst 167 issuers listed on 32 stock exchanges across 26 countries. The figures relate to ETFs, typically open-ended index funds that provide daily portfolio transparency and are listed and traded on stock exchanges like shares, using a specific creation and redemption process for primary transactions. The term ETP (Exchange Traded Products) refers to other products with similar trading and settlement arrangements, but without the mutual fund structure.

Amundi ETF ranks second with $475.43 billion and a share of 12.5 per cent. Xtrackers follows with $390.44 billion and a 10.3 per cent market share. These three issuers hold 62.1 per cent of the sector’s total assets. The remaining 164 providers each hold a market share of less than 8 per cent.
