Global X ETFs today announced the appointment of Gea Blumberg as Head of Business Development and Co-Head of Europe for Global X ETFs Europe, working alongside Chief Operating Officer and Co-Head George Taylor.

Blumberg will be based in Germany with the aim of expanding the company’s presence in Europe
Blumberg and Taylor will share responsibility for defining the company’s strategic direction to meet the needs of current and future clients. Blumberg will also lead the sales, marketing, public relations and investment strategy teams. She will be based in Germany.

Over the past year, Global X ETFs Europe has experienced strong growth, with assets under management exceeding $7 billion in January 2026, compared to approximately $2 billion a year ago. Blumberg’s appointment is intended to reinforce the company’s commitment to meeting growing investor demand, consolidating its position as a leading and pioneering ETF provider in Europe.

Gea Blumberg is Head of Business Development and Co-Head of Global X ETFs Europe. She is responsible for overseeing distribution, marketing, public relations and investment strategy functions, as well as regional commercial activities, promoting commercial strategy and strengthening client relationships across Europe.
She has over 15 years of experience in the European ETF, asset management and private banking industries. She joins Global X from WisdomTree, where she led the business and sales strategy in Europe, expanding teams across the region and accelerating business growth through data intelligence tools and alignment between sales, marketing, research and capital markets.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Blumberg worked at Thomson Reuters in Munich and Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien in Vienna. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Webster University in Vienna.
