The Goldman Sachs Alpha Enhanced Japan Equity Active UCITS ETF – Class JPY (Dist), a quarterly-distributing line, carries an issue date of 29 October 2026 on the LSE’s instrument page and trades in sterling under the ticker GDJY. The class is already established elsewhere: it has been listed on Xetra since April 2026, and the London admission makes it available to UK investors.

Share class information

The LSE instrument page lists the following details:

ISIN: IE0006NZSQW7

SEDOL: C0L71Q1

Ticker: GDJY

Trading currency: GBP

Issuer: Goldman Sachs ETF ICAV (Ireland)

Total expense ratio: 0.25%

Management style: active

Income: distributed

Trading service: ETFS – Euroclear Bank settlement

Net asset value: JPY 3,159.75 on 28 October 2026

Deutsche Börse had already listed the same ticker, GDJY, on Xetra on 23 April 2026.

Active Japanese equity strategy benchmarked to MSCI Japan IMI

The fund is actively managed and focuses on Japanese equities. Its factsheet identifies the MSCI Japan IMI (Net) index as the benchmark, and the LSE categorises the product as an active equity ETF.

As of 31 August 2026, the largest position shown on the LSE page was Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group at 3.59%, followed by Toyota Motor Corporation.

A second London line for the same fund

GDJY joins an existing London listing of the same fund. A Goldman Sachs factsheet shows that the ticker GQJY (ISIN IE000ZUTO1I5) also trades on the LSE in sterling. GDJY is distinct from that line in both share class and ISIN. Investors comparing the two should review the fund documents for each line’s income policy and share class currency.

Conclusion

The GDJY admission does not create a new fund. Instead, it provides UK investors with sterling access to the distributing JPY share class of an active Japan ETF launched in April 2026, alongside the existing GQJY line in London. Its 0.25% TER is consistent with the figure Deutsche Börse published when the class was listed on Xetra.
