These funds, developed in partnership with US-based asset managers REX Shares and Regan Capital, commenced trading today on Borsa Italiana, the London Stock Exchange, and Deutsche Börse Xetra.

This launch marks a strategic expansion for HANetf, introducing innovative covered-call strategies and active fixed income management to European investors, while simultaneously bringing two prominent US managers onto the European stage.

The New ETF Lineup:

  1. REX Tech Innovation Income & Growth UCITS ETF (Ticker: FEGI): Provides exposure to 20 leading US technology stocks, including FANG+ names. It aims to generate monthly income through a covered call strategy applied to approximately 50% of the portfolio, seeking to balance income generation with capital growth potential.

  2. REX Tech Innovation Premium Income UCITS ETF (Ticker: FEPI): Also targets 20 major US tech stocks but employs a “full covered call” strategy. This involves writing call options up to 10% out-of-the-money, designed to capture enhanced yield while allowing for up to 10% upside potential on the underlying stocks before the options are exercised.

  3. REX Crypto Equity Income & Growth UCITS ETF (Ticker: CEGI): Focuses on 25 US-listed companies involved in the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem. Similar to FEGI, it uses a covered call strategy on roughly 50% of the portfolio, targeting attractive monthly distributions and capturing volatility-induced income while preserving growth potential.

  4. Regan Total Return Income Fund UCITS ETF (Ticker: RMBS): An actively managed fund by Regan Capital investing primarily in US Agency Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) – bonds issued by government-sponsored enterprises like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The fund aims to amplify the yield spread Agency RMBS typically offer over Treasuries and corporate bonds through active management expertise.

Strategic Significance:

  • US Debut in Europe: This launch represents the first European market entry for both REX Shares (managing over $5 billion in US assets) and Regan Capital (a US-based SEC-registered investment adviser managing approximately $2.6 billion).

  • Growing Covered Call & Active Segments: With these additions, HANetf strengthens its position in two high-growth areas: covered-call ETFs (now 5 in its European range) and actively managed ETFs (now 13).

  • Diversified Income Solutions: The new ETFs offer European investors distinct pathways to monthly income: through tech and crypto equities using options strategies (REX) and via actively managed high-quality, low-duration fixed income focused on Agency RMBS (Regan).

Executive Insight:

Hector McNeil, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of HANetf, commented: “We are delighted to partner with firms like REX Shares and Regan Capital to bring four new ETFs to the European market, further broadening our offering of active and options-based solutions. REX Shares’ covered call ETFs, well-established in the US, now represent a concrete opportunity for European investors to access this rapidly expanding asset class. Simultaneously, the launch of the Regan Total Return Income Fund UCITS ETF marks the European debut of an active strategy focused on high-quality, low-duration fixed income, backed by US Agency RMBS.”

McNeil emphasized HANetf’s core mission: “Our goal remains to lower the barriers to entry into the European ETF market, offering asset managers globally the ability to launch their strategies quickly, efficiently, and in compliance with local requirements. Our product range continues to diversify with the addition of new partners, allowing us to remain innovative and offer increasingly relevant solutions to European investors.”
