The new share class is identified by the ISIN IE000QW9E395 and trades under the ticker H50G LN.
This launch provides British investors with a new tool to gain exposure to the Eurozone’s leading blue-chip companies while mitigating the impact of fluctuations between the British Pound and the Euro. The underlying benchmark, the EURO STOXX 50 Index, is a market-capitalisation-weighted index that tracks the performance of the 50 largest and most liquid stocks from the Eurozone’s 12 countries.
The fund is a passively managed UCITS ETF, aiming to replicate the index’s performance as closely as possible. Its investment policy allows for direct investment in the index constituents or, where necessary, the use of financial instruments like depositary receipts, derivatives, or other funds to achieve its objective.
The new GBP-hedged share class joins HSBC’s existing suite of EURO STOXX 50 ETF offerings. It carries a competitive total expense ratio (TER) of 0.06% per annum, positioning it as a cost-effective option for core European equity exposure..
The EURO STOXX 50 Index, the foundation of this ETF, is widely regarded as Europe’s premier blue-chip benchmark, representing supersector leaders and capturing a significant portion of the Eurozone’s free-float market capitalisation. This new listing from HSBC responds to a clear market demand for sophisticated, currency-hedged products that allow UK-based portfolios to maintain their strategic asset allocation without being swayed by foreign exchange volatility.
