HSBC NASDAQ Global Climate Tech UCITS ETF USD (Acc)

The Fund aims to track as closely as possible the returns of the NASDAQ CTA Global Climate Technology Index (the Index), while promoting environmental, social and/or governance (ESG) characteristics. The Fund will invest in, or gain exposure to, shares of companies which make up the Index.

Investment Policy:

The Index is a modified market-capitalisation Index designed to measure the performance of a selection of companies in the global climate technology industry which are powering the transition to a carbon neutral global economy across equity markets worldwide, as determined by the Index Provider.

The Fund has been categorised as an Article 8 fund for the purpose of the SFDR. The companies are selected based on classification by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

A security’s issuer must be classified by CTA as a Climate Technology company, specifically as belonging to one of the categories: Enablers to include companies classified as Power Sources and Power Storage that enable the transition toward cleaner sources of energy; Engagers to include companies engaged in technologies focused on reducing the carbon impact of commercial, industrial and residential buildings; and Enhancers to include companies providing consulting, engineering and/or software solutions to clients in order to design, construct and retrofit projects within industry, buildings and transportation.
