Johnson has repeatedly blamed Parliament for a further delay in Brexit and feels like the only way to break the Brexit deadlock is to have a general election. He accused Parliament of causing the delay as lawmakers refused to rush his Brexit deal through Parliament.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Johnson went on to say ‘it was a matter of deep regret’ that he could not get Brexit done before the deadline and apologised to his conservative MPs who voted for him to become leader based on his Brexit promises.
Lastly, Johnson has ruled out joining forces with Nigel Farage with Farage saying he wouldn’t make an 8th attempt to run for Parliament. He went onto say his time would be better used to helping other Brexit party candidates.
