WisdomTree Launches Modern Value ETF Range on European Exchanges

The launch aims to modernize value investing by incorporating screens for shareholder returns and company quality.

The three new funds—WisdomTree US Value UCITS ETF, WisdomTree Global Value UCITS ETF, and WisdomTree Europe Value UCITS ETF—began trading on December 11, 2025. Each fund tracks a proprietary WisdomTree index and is available with a Total Expense Ratio (TER) of 0.20% for the US fund and 0.25% for the global and European funds.

A Refined Approach to Value

The methodology behind the new ETFs moves beyond traditional metrics like price-to-book. The rules-based indices target mid- and large-cap stocks from developed markets that show high shareholder yield. This metric combines dividend yield and net share repurchases.

The selection process adds further screens:

• Quality filters are used to exclude companies with weak fundamentals.

• Momentum screens help avoid stocks with negative price trends.

• Portfolio weighting is based on total shareholder yield, giving greater weight to companies that demonstrate consistent capital discipline.

Pierre Debru, Head of Research for Europe at WisdomTree, stated that traditional value investing has faced structural challenges since the global financial crisis. “Traditional Value investing has faced structural headwinds in the post-global financial crisis era. The dominance of growth stocks and ultra-low interest rates has challenged the effectiveness of traditional valuation metrics. The definition of Value needs to evolve. The next generation of Value investing will require innovation, and by focusing on companies that combine capital discipline with quality, we believe this approach offers a smarter way to access the Value factor.”

Launch Coincides with Market Rotation

The launch occurs during a notable shift in global equity markets in 2025. Analysis from other asset managers indicates a rotation away from the previous dominance of US growth stocks.

• International equities, particularly in Europe, have outperformed US equities.

• US value stocks have seen positive returns, while US growth stocks have declined.

Integration into a Growing Platform

The new value ETFs complement WisdomTree’s existing smart-beta UCITS ETF range, which includes High Dividend, Small Cap, and Quality Growth strategies.

The launch builds on strong business momentum for WisdomTree. The firm recently reported a record $139 billion in assets under management (AUM) as of November 30, 2025, marking a 27% increase year-to-date. Its UCITS ETF suite has shown significant growth, attracting over $4 billion in net inflows in 2025 and doubling its AUM to approximately $12 billion.
