ETP provider GraniteShares has appointed Benedict von Lucke as Country Head Germany as it continues to build operations in the country in response to growing demand for its products which outperform the DAX and S&P 500 on a one year and year to date basis.

The company already offers its ground-breaking FAANG long and short ETPs on Xetra enabling investors to participate in the performance of a US stock basket consisting of the Big Five US technology stocks – Facebook-owner Meta, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google owner Alphabet.
GraniteShares’ data shows year to date its FNNG ETP has returned 46.86% compared with 8.53% and 15.91% for the S&P 500 and DAX respectively. For the past year FNNG has returned 35.18% compared with 6.69% and 15.73% respectively for the S&P 500 and DAX.
Data shows the technology sector accounts for nearly 8% of all short-selling positions in German markets with total short selling in Germany valued at around €3.849 billion as of May 22nd.
Benedict von Lucke joined GraniteShares, which offers a range of 3x short and 3x leveraged ETPs on popular stocks listed on national exchanges in the UK, France, Italy, and Germany, from Pimco where he worked across the DACH region as well as Benelux and the Nordics and was based in Munich and London.
Previously he has worked for UBS and Columbia Threadneedle and brings more than 18 years’ experience in financial services to GraniteShares.
