Van Nugteren brings to BNP Paribas AM over 18 years’ experience gained at BlackRock, where he held the position of Managing Director, ETF Capital Markets.
The appointment strengthens the company’s structure in the ETF segment, an area in which investor demand is constantly growing.
Van Nugteren has a long track record in the sector. He spent over 18 years at BlackRock, where he also held the position of Managing Director, ETF Capital Markets. He subsequently joined the management team at SpireBay Financial, before moving to BNP Paribas Asset Management in 2026.
The dual remit assigned to him — ETF Capital Markets and White Label Solutions — places this appointment at the heart of the company’s product offering. White Label Solutions enable partners and institutional clients to access investment structures developed and managed by BNP Paribas AM, an activity requiring expertise in both markets and distribution.
With this appointment, BNP Paribas Asset Management aims to consolidate its presence in the European ETF market, drawing on an individual with extensive experience in capital markets dynamics and in managing relationships with industry players.
